Buddy Benches are now springing up on playgrounds at elementary and middle schools throughout Southern California.
Rotary Clubs across District 5280 have fallen in love with the buddy bench. Check out the April 2018 newsletter for details (pgs 10-12).
“I have worked with many other clubs,” commented Arlene [Dickey, San Pedro Rotarian], “Redondo Beach, Historic Filipinotown, Wilshire, Lawndale, and Gardena. By the end of 2019 there will probably a buddy bench at many LAUSD schools. Many clubs across the District have committed to funding at least one bench, and Arlene is raising funds to install benches at all San Pedro schools."
